The Governing Body
Mr Peter Sutton
Vice Chair of Governing Body
My wife, daughter and I moved to Warninglid about 10 years ago. Having grown up in Haywards Heath, I studied Agriculture and worked all over the country, including Scotland, Wales and for a time was a lecturer and shepherd at Plumpton College near Lewes. Currently working as a Farm Manager, running a Pedigree sheep farm on a small estate on the edge of Warninglid.
I joined the Governing body in 2011 as a parent governor, being impressed with the school that my daughter had just started at and wanting to contribute in some way.
Alongside working and being a governor, I have been on the organising Council of the Heathfield Agricultural Show for 12 years, being Chair of the sheep section for 5 years. I was a Director of the Texel Sheep Society and currently a member of the PCC for St. Mary Magdalene Church, Bolney where we worship regularly.
It's been a huge privilege to be on the governing board of the school and I always strive in any small way that I can to help the other governors and staff provide an environment in the school where everyone can 'Be the best you can, Guided by God'.
Term of office - 17.9.18 - 16.9.22
Mrs Becky Harrison
I moved to Bolney with my husband and two boys - William and Isaac who both attend the school. We love the village and the school, I couldn't be more overjoyed with how William and Isaac settled in and the wonderful welcoming feeling from staff and other pupils.
I am a Pharmacist, I've been qualified for 10 years. Prior to having the children I managed and ran a pharmacy in Haywards Heath. I was on the West Sussex local pharmaceutical committee (LPC) for over 5 years too. I now work as a relief pharmacist manager for Lloyds pharmacy but only work at the weekend to enable me to look after my children.
I am very keen and enthusiastic to have an opportunity to be a school governor. I relish a challenge and would like to have the opportunity to use and develop my skills and knowledge to make a real difference to the children in Bolney school.
Term of office - 8.3.17 - 8.3.2021

For 16 years I was responsible for the training of young doctors wishing to become GP’s, teaching, supporting and monitoring their education over the 3 year training scheme, having over 40 doctors under my care most of the time!
I am also a lay minister (Reader) in the Church of England for the last 13 years, and have enjoyed excersising that ministry in Bolney and Cowfold since our arrival here.
I am married to Ruth who is an Anglican priest and have 2 grown up children, our daughter locally in Brighton and our son now living and working in Norway.

I am a primary school teacher and a mathematics consultant. I have worked in West Sussex schools for almost 20 years and therefore understand both the joys and the challenges of working in a range of school settings.

I have been a governor at this school for the last 4 years and have found it both interesting and rewarding. I became a governor to try and improve communication between the school and the parents and I felt my business knowledge could possibly be useful in these hard funding times.
