Home Learning
•Daily reading to be recorded in your Child's Reading Diary)
It can be stories, newspapers, magazines, non-fiction, instructions, recipes, directions - any form of reading! Reading scheme books will be changed twice weekly by staff on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please bring books back to school or we cannot change them. If you find that children are reading the book at speed after a few days, my advice would be to use the 'vipers' suggestions on the website to support their comprehension further.
•Times Table/Maths Practice
Use Numbots and TT Rockstar apps. Your childs log in is in the front of the home reading diary. You can extend this with real-life maths – shopping, baking, measuring, and telling the time.
•Homework Grid
The grid below includes a variety of homework activities to support our Big Question. Choose two tasks a week and aim to complete them all by the end of the term. You can email them to me and we will celebrate the home learning in class.
•Spellings
Spellings will be sent out weekly on Fridays via email and paper copy. I will be weekly spelling check on Thursday mornings. The spellings are based on the sounds we have learnt that week and some common exception words.
Thank you for your support. As always if you need any support with home learning, please email me and I will do the best I can to help.
