Welcome to Beech Class
This half term our curriculum theme is PROBLEM SOLVERS - BUILD IT UP! We will be focusing on perseverance and being able to learn from mistakes.
We will be using the text: Vlad and The Great Fire of London to explore character, setting and plot ahead of writing our own narratives based around the time of the Great Fire. We will be using historical sources to help us learn more about the fire and life in 1666.
Our Church Lane bakery is now officially open and we will be holding a 'real life' cake sale towards the end of term. Half of the funds will be donated to Haiti and half will be spent on STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) resources for our classroom.
Please have a look at the curriculum overview, saved below, to discover more about what we will be learning during this half term.
