Stations of the Cross
Thursday 29th March 2018
We marked the end of term with a fabulous finish, sharing the Stations of the Cross. Ten of our pupils produced amazing artwork and the children reflected on these during the service. We were joined by guest readers, family, friends and members of the Bolney community for this very moving service, centred round the events of Holy Week.
For each image the children and visitors listened to a reading from the Bible a reflection about how this can help us now and a prayer. As we travelled between each image in our house teams we sang a taize chant. We started with singing Lord of the Dance and ended with singing Colours of Day and some refreshments provided by the Friends of Bolney.
We had planned to put the artwork in the school grounds but due to the rain we stayed inside the school and the church. The children also did some activities in the classroom, they thought hard and asked many questions during the afternoon.
