Stable Story - EYFS/KS1 Nativity 2019

In our last week of term our wonderful children in Willow and Beech performed their Nativity 'Stable Story'. Here is a report written by our Y6 reporters, Katie and Rhudi.

NATIVITY!

Earlier this week, Beech and Willow class performed a stunning Nativity. KS2 watched the dress rehearsal along with some residents from Eastridge Manor (a retirement home.) Then, on Monday and Tuesday they performed it to their friends and family. Everyone loved the play, Beech Class teacher Mrs James said ‘I think everyone acted well. I enjoyed it and the children practised their lines well’

Mrs Green and Mrs Sutters put together some amazing costumes to be worn. The children were amazing as the narrators, Wise Men, Mary and Joseph, angels, shepherds, innkeepers, King Herod and his soldiers and animals.

This incredible production kept everyone who watched it entertained for an extraordinary half an hour. The children sang and played their instruments beautifully as well as saying their lines. The parents and carers thoroughly enjoyed it as well as KS2 and Eastridge Manor home.

The children of Willow class also quoted ‘It was a good Nativity. I loved my costume and I loved doing it.’ Mrs Harvey said:  ‘I love the simplicity of the nativity because it allowed us to focus on the Bible story. Well done to the soloists for being brave enough to have a go’

It was a wonderful way to start Christmas and the whole school loved it.
